Ushakov noted that this issue was raised during several phone conversations between the leader of Russia and U.S. President Donald Trump.
“We have always been open to such meetings and remain so. The main thing is that they are well-prepared and aimed at achieving specific positive results. If Zelensky really wants to meet, we invite him to Moscow and guarantee his security and the necessary conditions for work,” added Yuri Ushakov.
It is worth recalling that in the fall of 2025, Vladimir Putin had already invited the Ukrainian president to come to Moscow for negotiations, but at that time Zelensky declined.
Additionally, earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga stated that Vladimir Zelensky is open to meeting with the Russian leader to discuss territorial issues and the situation around the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
