During the parliamentary session on January 28, Tumonbaev reminded that Minister Nurdin Oruntaev stated that the salary of his department's employees amounts to 500,000 soms.
The deputy expressed outrage over this, noting that this information has caused public discontent. According to him, such payments fall on the shoulders of construction companies, which are obliged to pay various taxes, which, in turn, leads to an increase in housing prices. Tumonbaev also noted that the salaries of doctors and teachers will only be raised in April, and at the moment they receive only 30,000-50,000 soms. "How can there be such a difference?" he asked and suggested bringing this issue first to the relevant committee, and then to the session of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu agreed with the deputy, adding: "He is right. We are receiving appeals from construction companies that are dissatisfied with the fact that the ministry sets the tariffs itself and does not submit them for the consideration of the deputies. This leads to an increase in the cost of square meters. We need to discuss and correct this situation."
Turgunbek uulu also noted that citizens are expressing dissatisfaction regarding price changes in cafes and restaurants, where the service charge has been canceled, but the cost of dishes has increased.
He emphasized that such innovations have not benefited civil expenses, calling for an analysis before implementing such reforms.
Moreover, Turgunbek uulu added that price increases are not only observed in cafes and restaurants, but also in taxi and hairdressing services."Citizens are extremely dissatisfied. The Cabinet of Ministers should be engaged in price regulation, but so far no actions have been taken," the speaker addressed Almasbek Abytov, the representative of the president and government in parliament. He added that issues related to prices will be discussed in the Jogorku Kenesh in February.
