At today's parliamentary session, criticism was directed at the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, which, according to the deputies, contributes to the rising prices of housing.

Akyilbek Tumonbaev, one of the speakers, pointed out that the head of the Ministry of Construction shares information on social media about the high salaries of his employees, reaching 500,000 soms.

“Nevertheless, there is a noticeable increase in housing market prices in the country. Construction companies report that the rising cost per square meter is linked to the Ministry of Construction's requirements for licensing and taxes. These issues should be thoroughly examined by the relevant committee. While public sector employees earn 30,000-40,000 soms, some employees in the Ministry of Construction receive 500,000 soms — this is a clear discrepancy,” he emphasized.

Parliament Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu also supported this position, noting that the issue has been correctly raised.

“Representatives of construction companies come to parliament with various problems in this area. The Ministry of Construction sets tariffs that, in theory, should be approved by the Jogorku Kenesh. This leads to an increase in housing prices in the country. It is necessary to carefully study this issue in the relevant committee and then bring it to the plenary session,” the speaker added.
