At a recent parliamentary meeting, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, the speaker, emphasized that the relevant committee had discussed various options for the new national anthem the day before.

“We listened to both the music and the lyrics of the anthem, and frankly speaking, none of the presented options seemed worthy to us. Therefore, we decided not to bring the projects to the chamber level and to return them for further consideration in the committee. Our goal is not just to change the existing anthem, but to present a truly worthy new one. Many composers create anthems in a march style, but not everyone can perform them. The music should be written in a more free style so that it can be sung not only at official events but also at celebrations and weddings. I urge all citizens to participate in the competition and propose their ideas. Prizes are provided for the participants,” added Turgunbek uulu.
