At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, held on January 27, issues concerning the compliance of candidate Almaz Aydarov, nominated by the People's Kurultai for inclusion in the Council for Justice Affairs, with the established requirements were discussed.
Deputy Bolot Ibragimov asked about the mandatory educational requirements for candidates, noting that the submitted documents did not contain clear information on this matter.
In response, the chairman of the National Council of the People's Kurultai, Mambetkerim Chekirov, stated that a verification had been conducted, confirming that Aydarov has higher education. He pointed out that Almaz Aydarov is a graduate of the Higher Technological Institute in the Osh region, which is confirmed by the relevant certificates.

Deputy Abdyldabek Egemberdiev, in turn, emphasized the requirements of the constitutional law "On the Council for Justice Affairs," particularly Article 7, which states that a member of the Council can only be a person over 40 years old with a higher legal education and at least 15 years of work experience in the legal field, as well as not holding a state or municipal position. He inquired whether the candidate possesses the necessary legal education and relevant experience.

Almaz Aydarov, speaking before the deputies, acknowledged that he does not have a legal education. However, he added that the regulations of the People's Kurultai do not require legal education for nominated candidates. Aydarov assured that if his candidacy is approved, he will perform his duties diligently and fairly, supporting the reforms being carried out in the country.

Deputy Egemberdiev also clarified whether the nomination of the candidate violates legislation.

The representative of the president and the Cabinet of Ministers in the Jogorku Kenesh, Almas Abytov, explained that Article 7 of the Constitutional Law "On the Council for Justice Affairs" outlines the general requirements for candidates. In particular, they must be citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic over 40 years old, have a good reputation, not hold foreign citizenship, not be members of a political party, and not have a criminal record, including expunged or removed convictions. Other requirements are not specified, he added.
