The issue of mutual provision of buildings and land plots for diplomatic needs between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was discussed by the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh. The parliamentary committee responsible for international affairs, security, and migration approved the ratification of the agreement, which was supported in three readings.

Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev noted that this agreement defines the conditions for the placement of diplomatic missions of the two states. Bishkek and Astana are transferring real estate and land plots to each other for gratuitous use.

Among the transferred properties are both the buildings of the embassies themselves and the residences of the ambassadors.

The agreement, signed on August 22, 2025, in Bishkek, establishes equal working conditions for diplomats and legally exempts the parties from the obligation to pay rent for the territories used.
