Negotiations in Abu Dhabi. What the USA, Russia, and Ukraine discussed on the first day

In Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the first round of trilateral negotiations between the delegations of the USA, Russia, and Ukraine has concluded, as reported by Reuters.
Rustem Umerov, head of the Ukrainian delegation, stated that the discussions focused on the conditions for ending the conflict and the future of the negotiation process, with the aim of achieving a just and sustainable peace.

High-profile participants from the American side include special envoy of President Donald Trump Steve Whitcoff, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, senior advisor to the newly established "Peace Council" Josh Grünbaum, Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll, and NATO forces commander in Europe Alexus Grinkevich.

The negotiations will continue today, although they were initially expected to last two days.

According to TASS, the interim results of the first day of negotiations will be communicated to the capitals of the participating countries.

According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian delegation includes high-ranking representatives from the Ministry of Defense, led by the head of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff, Admiral Igor Kostyukov.

From the Ukrainian side, the negotiations involve Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, head of the President's Office Kyrylo Budanov, his deputy Serhiy Kyslytsia, leader of the "Servant of the People" faction Davyd Arakhamia, and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov.
