He emphasized that his main task is to ensure that city services can operate at night without interfering with other road users and avoiding traffic jams during the day.
“When I asked why they work during the day and not at night, I was told: at night, a double rate applies. If a person works during the day and then continues working at night, they receive a double rate. I am not against this. I propose to introduce special night shifts so that workers can perform their duties at night rather than during the day. There are people who prefer to work at night, and they want to receive the same salary as their colleagues who work during the day. But at the moment, we cannot provide this, as it is not accounted for in the budget. The law stipulates that there is double billing,” the deputy explained.
Marlen Mamataliev suggested that the relevant authorities analyze the current law and make the necessary amendments so that people who wish to work at night can freely rest during the day and fulfill their work responsibilities at night.
According to the parliamentarian, such a work schedule would be particularly beneficial for road services. As a result, they would be able to carry out repair work on city streets more efficiently and effectively, as they would not have to deal with disruptions from the flow of vehicles.
