The Kyrgyz Republic has expanded its diplomatic geography to 185 countries

During the traditional New Year reception organized for heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, presented the main achievements of the country's foreign policy for 2025 and outlined key directions for 2026.

Speaking before the diplomats, Kulubaev emphasized that last year Kyrgyzstan actively developed its foreign policy relations. He reported on the conduct of 190 high-level meetings and the signing of 633 international agreements. The Minister also noted that the number of partner countries has increased to 185, and Kyrgyzstan opened its first embassy in Africa.

Looking to the future, Jeenbek Kulubaev highlighted the upcoming presidency of Kyrgyzstan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the anniversary summit that will take place in Bishkek. The Sixth World Nomad Games and the Issyk-Kul International Forum dedicated to Chinghiz Aitmatov are also planned.

In his welcoming speech, the minister expressed gratitude to the diplomats for their contribution to the development of relations with Kyrgyzstan and emphasized that in the context of global instability, the republic remains a reliable and open partner, striving for constructive dialogue to achieve peace and sustainable development.
