During a recent conversation with journalists, Donald Trump expressed the opinion that the "Board of Peace" he created could potentially take the place of the United Nations in the future. However, he emphasized the importance of preserving the UN. According to the Associated Press, this statement was made during a press conference with the President of the United States.

Trump responded to questions about the new international format, noting that it could potentially take on the functions of a global peacekeeping mechanism. He added that the UN "has great potential" and that "it needs to continue its activities."
"Board of Peace" is an international structure proposed by Donald Trump, aimed at maintaining stability, restoring governance, and achieving sustainable peace in conflict-affected regions.

Initially conceived as part of a peace plan for the Gaza Strip, the project is now viewed as a broader initiative that could encompass various conflicts.

Trump presented the idea of the "Board of Peace" in September 2025, with the official announcement taking place in January 2026.

According to the publication, invitations to participate were sent to about 60 countries, but the final composition of the board has not yet been determined.
