In Parliament, a Call was Made to Protect the Rights of Kyrgyz Citizens Working in Russia

At a recent meeting of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan, deputies raised the issue of protecting the rights of citizens working in the Russian Federation. This topic became a subject of discussion among several elected officials.

Ulukbek Karybek uulu noted that he receives numerous complaints from migrants regarding various difficulties they face in Russia.

“Among these problems are issues related to registration. Diplomats in embassies and consulates need to work more actively in this area,” he emphasized.

Aigul Akhmedova also pointed out that Kyrgyz citizens in Russia often find themselves on the list of controlled persons for minor reasons. According to her, those who end up on this list risk being deported.

“People deemed violators are sent to the 'Sakharovo' center near Moscow, where they can be held for up to a month and forced to work under harsh conditions. Additionally, the paperwork costs 70,000 rubles, and some citizens are forced to wait from two to three months without the ability to work,” the deputy stated.

In this regard, Akhmedova urged the government to simplify the process of legal work in Russia, improve migration procedures, expedite registration and document processing, and protect citizens from long queues and arbitrary deportation.
