Proposing to Ban Alcohol Sales After 8 PM in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, deputies are proposing a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages after 8:00 PM. This initiative was put forward by Majilis deputy Magerram Magerramov.

He emphasized that there is a need in the country to strengthen control over the circulation of alcoholic drinks, as alcohol often becomes the cause of various offenses.

In his speech, Magerramov proposed the following measures to the government:


Additionally, Magerramov noted that the ministries of culture and information, education, health, and science should develop a comprehensive program for the prevention of alcohol dependence among youth, using modern digital and media formats.

Previously, a similar initiative regarding restrictions on the sale of alcohol in entertainment establishments was voiced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
