In Osh, the implementation of a project to expand the wastewater treatment facilities will begin in two months. This was stated by Azamat Shadmanov, the director of the State Institution "Development of Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater" under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. His speech took place at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on international affairs, defense, security, and migration.

Azamat Shadmanov explained that agreements on sub-loans and sub-grants will be prepared. Payment will be made by the city administration of Osh from the tariffs. He also clarified that "the EBRD provides a loan with a fixed interest rate of 1%, as well as a floating rate — 'Euribor', which is reviewed every six months. Currently, it is about 3%. Sometimes the rate can drop to zero, so it is impossible to specify the exact amount of overpayment at this time," he added.

Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Asel Kenebaeva, responding to the deputies' questions, noted that out of 8.3 million soms, 4.3 million will be allocated as non-repayable grants, while 4 million will be in the form of repayable funds that need to be returned.

As a result of the discussions, the deputies unanimously approved the project in the third reading and sent it for consideration to the Jogorku Kenesh.
