In the new academic year, around 170,000 children are expected to enroll in the first grades of schools in Kyrgyzstan.
In the capital of the republic, Bishkek, about 25,000 first-graders are projected to enroll. Rakhmat Musaev, the director of the Education Department of the Bishkek city administration, clarified that this number may vary upwards or downwards.
She also noted that in the previous academic year, 17,000 children were enrolled in the first grade.
