In the Presidential Lyceum "Akyiman," a modern educational model is actively being implemented, which includes STEAM education, information technology, as well as humanitarian and specialized fields. The Deputy Director for Research, Almazbek uulu Ömürbek, shared this information at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency.
According to him, the STEAM system contributes to the development of creative and critical thinking in students. The educational process is conducted in two languages: exact sciences are studied in English, while humanitarian subjects are taught in Kyrgyz. New students receive support to improve their English language skills, after which their education continues entirely in that language. Additionally, the lyceum offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in kayaking, which is only available at this educational institution," he added.
Currently, 264 students are enrolled in the lyceum, with class sizes of 24 students each. The institution has 26 clubs aimed at the comprehensive development of students.
"Significant attention is paid to the assessment system: both formative and summative assessments are used. A CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) system has also been implemented, which allows for an objective analysis of students' performance considering their academic workload," noted Almazbek uulu Ömürbek.
