In the Alai District, 160 students are temporarily studying in residential houses due to the construction of a new school.
Students from secondary school No. 29 named after Keldibai Taichabarov, located in the rural municipality of Tilektesh, have transitioned to studying in residential houses.
According to the head of the Tilektesh rural municipality, Kadyrbek Musabaev, the old school was built during the Soviet era using the ashara method.
“The condition of the school became critical, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that studying there had become unsafe. In 2025, the building was demolished, and construction of a new two-story school for 150 students began. The completion of the construction work is scheduled for May. Currently, the floors have been completed, and work on whitewashing and painting is underway,” he noted.
“We have coordinated with the owners of two new houses in the village for the temporary accommodation of students. All necessary conditions for teaching children have been created. While the school construction continues, students will study in these houses. After the construction is completed, the rural municipality will carry out repair work in these premises,” added Musabaev.
The deputy director of the school, Shatman Mamarasul uulu, noted that 160 students are enrolled in the institution.
“The old school has become dilapidated, and studying there has become impossible. We are currently conducting classes in residential premises and are trying to provide comfortable conditions for the children. There is a heating system, a cafeteria, and a gym here,” he reported.
Damirbek Kalykberdiev, head of the Osh regional capital construction department, confirmed that the construction of the new school will be completed this year, and it will be put into operation.
According to data, there are 2,357 people living in the village of Toguz-Bulak, and the number of households is 315.
