In 2025, the construction and major renovation of 117 educational institutions were completed in Kyrgyzstan: 76 of them were new, and major works were carried out in 41 schools. This was reported at a republican meeting by Edil Baisalov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the deputy chairman, these construction projects resulted in the creation of 17,000 additional places for students.
From 2021 to 2025, a total of 673 facilities were completed in the country, including 394 schools and 147 kindergartens, as well as major renovations of 114 schools and 18 kindergartens.
Currently, there are 2,394 general education schools operating in Kyrgyzstan, where 1,536,633 students are enrolled, which is 45,800 more compared to 2024.
