The State Agency for Civil Service and Local Self-Government Wants to Expand the Project for Training Civil Servants in Japan in the Regions
Participants in this event included Elchibek Zhantaev, the director of the Agency and chairman of the JDS project management committee in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Ambassador of Japan to the country, Hirano Ryuichi.
The main objective of the meeting was to provide the members of the Management Committee with an analysis of the results of interviews conducted by professors from the target universities with candidates for the JDS program.
The professors shared their assessments regarding the candidates who advanced to the second stage of the program.
According to Zhantaev, the JDS project receives high attention from the state leadership. He noted that the program's scholarship recipients receive high-quality education and significantly contribute to the development of Kyrgyzstan.
The director also emphasized the need to adhere to the principles of transparency and competitiveness in the candidate selection process.
He pointed out that it is important to expand the project's opportunities by providing more chances for state and municipal employees from the regions, as this contributes to improving the quality of public governance.
Ambassador Hirano Ryuichi expressed gratitude to the meeting participants and noted that the JDS program is being successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan. He added that many graduates of the program hold high positions, including roles as department heads and deputy ministers.
