Turmush correspondent met with Aksatbek Tölömüşovich Dyikanbaev, head of the district education department, to discuss the details of providing meals.
According to him, 14 soms are allocated per student per day. Based on this amount, a special menu has been created that takes into account the needs of the children.
“At the beginning of the week, from Monday to Thursday, students receive hot meals, and on Friday they are offered compote and a bun. Currently, there are no problems with providing hot meals. All schools are fully prepared for this. We have a prospective menu: each week has its own menu, which changes the following week,” the head reported.
According to A. Dyikanbaev, previously parents were forced to collect money for additional hot meals. However, after numerous appeals from the families of students, this practice was stopped both before and after the New Year.
“There were many questions: if the government allocates funds, why should parents pay extra? In response to this, school directors were instructed to cancel additional fees for meals. Now, parents of children in grades 1–4 are not required to pay extra for meals,” he added.
It should be noted that with the allocated 14 soms, it is impossible to provide a full hot meal for all five days, so on one of the days, students are given compote and a bun, while on the other days, they receive hot dishes.
