In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, more than 36,000 children attend kindergartens, reported Mayor Aibek Junushaliev at a meeting of the Ministry of Education's board.

He also added that there are 29,000 children waiting for places.

“Over the past five years, 26 new kindergartens have been opened in Bishkek. Of these, 18 are completely new institutions, while 8 are buildings that were previously illegally privatized. All of them were returned with the assistance of the State Committee for National Security, and after renovations, they began to be used for their intended purpose,” the city mayor reported.
