At the meeting of the permanent commission of the Bishkek City Council on economics, budget, finance, and investments on February 9, deputy Erjan Nasiraliyev ("Adilet") reported that there are 4,500 students studying at school No. 84, despite a designed capacity of 900.

He noted that he raised this issue last year and pointed out the availability of a vacant plot for the construction of a new school.

In turn, Bishkek's vice-mayor Azamat Kadyrov mentioned that all children living in the new Ak-Ordo development are studying at school No. 84. To improve the situation in the Ala-Too area, the Ministry of Construction is completing the construction of one school and is also starting the construction of two new educational institutions.

Kadyrov acknowledged that the problem of school shortages remains relevant, as the load on existing institutions is high and the population continues to grow. He reported that an analysis was conducted in cooperation with the Department of Education and local akimats to identify locations for building new schools in areas where they are lacking. The vice-mayor added that the construction of educational institutions in the new developments of Ala-Too and Ak-Ordo-3 "will undoubtedly ease the situation at school No. 84."
