In 2026, the budget of the Bishkek Department of Education will nearly double.
According to the presented data, the department's budget for 2026 will amount to 851 million 566.9 thousand soms, which is a significant increase compared to 437 million 588.2 thousand soms in 2025. Thus, the growth will amount to 413 million 978.7 thousand soms.
One of the key reasons for this increase is the expansion of the list of funded projects. Musaev noted that every year, schools and kindergartens require increasing expenditures for repairs, and this year, 510 million soms were included in the list of funded projects, which is 310 million soms more than last year when the budget was 200 million soms.
In addition, in 2026, the salaries of junior service and technical staff will also increase by 10 million 270 thousand soms, and the deposit for young teachers will rise by 5.5 million soms.
As part of the new budget, the construction of 32 new schools and the opening of kindergartens are planned, for which 46 million 921 thousand soms have been allocated. Funding for the purchase of computers, refrigerators, and other equipment for educational institutions has also been increased.
The coverage of city events is planned to be expanded: if last year the New Year celebrations were designed for 1,000 students, this year 3,000 children will be able to attend. Additionally, funding for children's summer recreation will also increase — instead of 350, this year 700 children will go on vacation.
