Students of 2nd and 4th Grades Received a UNESCO Award for Environmental Projects

Two elementary school students from the "Diplomat" school located in Balakchy became winners of the UNESCO international award — CIPP 2025 (Youth Innovation: Collaborating to Improve and Protect Our Planet), as reported by the parents of one of the students.

More than 30,000 participants from 40 countries took part in the competition. Kyrgyzstan was represented by students Nuraly Tursunbekov (4th grade) and Auki Sabyrbekova (2nd grade). The results were announced on February 1, 2026, during an international online ceremony.

Nuraly Tursunbekov was awarded the Top Award for his project, while Auki Sabyrbekova received the Award for Pioneering Sustainability for her innovative approach to preserving biodiversity.
