Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev confirmed that such libraries do indeed exist, but the Ministry of Culture conducted an analysis and found that many of them are not operational, and librarians are simply receiving salaries. In this regard, there are plans to merge these institutions with functioning school libraries.
Rustambek uulu supported this initiative, pointing out that many rural libraries exist only "on paper," while school libraries are actively functioning and providing benefits.
The deputy also raised the issue of increasing salaries for school librarians, as they perform their work alongside educators. He suggested considering the possibility of additional compensation for their labor.
Deputy Minister of Finance Zhibek Duyisheva noted that the issue of salary increases will be addressed.
