The deputy proposed to reconsider the system of appointing school directors
Amanova emphasized that the state allocates significant resources for test preparation. “Teachers and methodologists are working to provide students with quality knowledge and prepare them for the test. Although conditions have improved in the regions, further work is necessary,” she noted.
The deputy also raised the issue of conducting competitions for the positions of school directors, who are appointed for a 5-year term. In her opinion, it is unreasonable to wait a full five years to dismiss an ineffective leader. “Why limit ourselves to rotation every five years? If a director is not coping with the task of improving teachers' qualifications and enhancing the educational process, they should not be retained in their position. This is one of the reasons why up to 50% of school graduates do not pass the OTR in several regions,” she said.
Amanova stressed that the preparation of students and work with the teaching staff should be a joint responsibility of the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Education.
