The deputy proposed to build separate student campuses for girls and boys in large cities.
Saginayev noted that according to statistics for 2025, there were 45,000 marriages registered in Kyrgyzstan, while 13,000 couples divorced, which he believes is a worrying signal for society.
“I urge the Ministry of Science, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, to consider the possibility of constructing such student dormitories. The rent for housing in Bishkek is 40,000-50,000 soms, which is an unbearable amount for many students. They often lack affordable places to live. Student dormitories with good infrastructure and separate accommodations could reduce social risks and contribute to strengthening the institution of family,” he said.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Marat Tagaev added that one of the key issues remains providing students with housing, as the number of dormitories is limited while the demand for them is high.
According to him, work in this direction is being carried out by all state structures, and the construction of student dormitories is a relevant and necessary measure.
