The Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic has organized a competition to select authors and developers of new generation textbooks, which is associated with the transition to a 12-year education system.
According to the ministry's press service, the competition was held in two stages and covered the subjects "Kyrgyz Language" (for grades 1-12), "Geography," and "History" (for grades 7-12).
In the first stage, a commission specifically created for this purpose evaluated the resumes of the participants, their professional experience, scientific and methodological works, as well as their level of competence.
In the second stage, participants defended their projects, prepared according to the assignment, through presentations in both online and offline formats.
As a result of the competition:
- for the subject "Geography," 10 applications were submitted, and all 10 authors were selected;
- for the subject "History," 16 applications were received, and 8 authors were selected;
- for the subject "Kyrgyz Language," there were 24 applications, and 5 authors were chosen.
It should be noted that the competition for the selection of authors and developers of textbooks was announced by the ministry on October 10, 2025.
