From January 16 to 26, a training camp called "School for Candidates for the Biology National Team" was held in Sochi, at the Educational Center "Sirius". Teams from Kyrgyzstan and Russia participated in this event.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz team consisted of eight students who competed under the guidance of Nursultan Uvaliev — a coach and member of the national biology olympiad.
The main focus of the camp program was on practical training, which included three key educational blocks:
- biochemistry;
- human and animal physiology;
- evolution, ecology, and biosystematics.
