On January 21-22, a seminar was held at the Ministry of Education dedicated to the program "Improving Access and Quality of Inclusive Educational Opportunities for All Children in the Kyrgyz Republic."

Participants included the Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, her deputies Nadira Jusupbekova and Albert Makmetkulov, as well as Anna Dautovich, Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Kyrgyzstan, and other representatives from partner and subordinate organizations.

In her speech at the seminar, the minister emphasized the importance of shifting the educational approach from a formal to a results-oriented system, where the interests and safety of children are at the forefront. She noted that for the sustainable development of inclusive education, it is essential to ensure quality training for teachers, strengthen methodological support, and implement measures to prevent violence and uphold ethical standards in the educational environment.

The minister also highlighted the need to create a system of professional support and protection for teachers.

The discussion focused on two key aspects: the development of inclusive educational materials and the training of personnel for the educational sector. It is expected that around 500,000 children studying in preschool and general education institutions will gain access to quality educational materials.

Additionally, it is planned that more than 11,000 teachers will undergo further training, which will enable the implementation of a competency-based approach in the educational process. During the seminar, measures for the development of inclusive education and the creation of a national policy document in this area were also discussed.
