The institution is located in the former building of the "Kerben" hotel, which has been returned to the local administration.
This academic year, there is a quota for 146 children, and currently, the kindergarten is functioning with four groups. A total of 240 places are planned in the institution, and in the future, work is expected to continue to improve conditions for the children.
It is worth noting that on November 24, 2025, the local authorities of Talas checked the progress of the relocation of Kindergarten No. 1 "Altyn Balalyk" to the building of the "Kerben" hotel.
Previously, the kindergarten's activities were suspended due to the recognition of its former building as emergency.
During this time, renovation work was carried out to prepare the new premises. The city authorities instructed to expedite the completion of this work.
Previously, there were 150 children in the "Altyn Balalyk" kindergarten, and it was expected that conditions for more than 200 children would be created in the new building.
