The Bishkek City Hall acknowledged the chaotic planting of trees in the Intymak Park
Deputy Azizbek Tursunbaev expressed dissatisfaction with the chaotic planting of trees, noting that the planted specimens do not provide the necessary shade. He emphasized: "The trees are small, their height is only five to seven meters. How can city residents relax without shaded areas? Compare it to parks in other countries," he added.
Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliyev responded that the city administration is guided by the recommendations of specialists when choosing trees. Official conclusions were obtained from the forestry department, the Academy of Sciences, and the Botanical Garden.
According to Aliyev, it is recommended to plant seven species of deciduous trees in Bishkek, including linden, maple, and hybrid poplar. He also noted that a sufficient number of trees have already been planted in the "Yntymak" park, which is why the planting of new ones has been temporarily suspended.
Aliyev acknowledged that some trees may have been planted without a clear plan, as residents and various organizations had previously suggested planting trees specifically in this park.
Deputy Tursunbaev called for more careful maintenance of the trees and proper planning of the landscaping of urban spaces.
