Employees of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine in the city of Osh shared methods for proper soil sample collection and explained the importance of their analysis. This information was provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
Stages of soil sampling:
Determining the area for sampling. Samples are taken from the four corners of the field, as well as from its center. Choosing the sampling depth. For most agricultural crops, samples should be taken from a depth of 20–25 cm. In the case of some perennial plants, the analysis is conducted at a depth of 20–40 cm. Transferring to a clean container. The collected soil is placed in a sterile, dry container or a special bag. Sending to the laboratory. The sample is sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis of its composition.
