The ecological state and the preservation of the cleanliness of the environment are key factors influencing the development of the tourism industry and the experiences that travelers have in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the Tourism Development Support Fund in the republic.
The organization emphasizes that in mountainous areas and hard-to-reach natural zones, litter cleanup poses a serious problem. As a result, discarded waste can remain there for many years, harming the ecosystem and degrading natural landscapes. Plastic products decompose over centuries, while bags, cans, and food scraps pose a danger to wildlife, potentially leading to their injury and death. Pollution of water bodies and soil also negatively impacts ecology and human health.
"Cluttered trails and natural landscapes reduce tourist satisfaction and damage our country's image," the fund notes.
Experts urge tourists to remember that by cleaning up after themselves, each of us helps to maintain the cleanliness of nature, the reputation of the state, and the future of the tourism sector. Caring for the environment is the foundation for the sustainable development of the industry and an important step towards creating a positive image of Kyrgyzstan as an attractive travel destination.
The Tourism Development Support Fund appeals to residents and guests of the country to treat nature responsibly in order to preserve the unique natural landscapes and ecological heritage for future generations.
