In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the modernization of the irrigation system aimed at preserving and increasing green spaces has been completed, stated the Minister of Natural Resources, Meder Mashiev, on February 2 during a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh that deals with agricultural policy and ecology.

According to the minister, in 2025, 5,000 meters of regulating ditches were installed and 25,000 meters of a new irrigation system were mounted in Bishkek.

Mashiev noted that the update of the irrigation infrastructure will increase the survival rate of trees, ensure regular watering of green areas, and improve the ecological situation in the city.
