
Dinara Kemelova, the special representative of the president for the implementation of the Decade of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions, held a meeting with Alexander Khvtisiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. During this dialogue, as reported by the president's administration, the possibilities for further cooperation within the framework of the Decade of Action were discussed, as well as the promotion of the mountain agenda on the international stage and the exchange of experience in sustainable development of mountain regions.
Kemelova emphasized that Georgia and Kyrgyzstan are mountainous countries with similar issues, including climate change, natural disasters, and difficult geographical conditions. She called for active cooperation on a bilateral and multilateral basis to address these issues.
Additionally, the meeting considered joint actions within the framework of the UN and the organization of the Second Global Mountain Summit "Bishkek+25". Khvtisiashvili expressed readiness to continue cooperation on mountain development issues through the relevant agencies.
