Air pollution cost KR drivers 3.7 million soms in fines

According to information provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic, in 2025, 202 protocols were drawn up concerning the exceedance of permissible emission standards by vehicles, which resulted in fines totaling over 3.7 million soms.

In addition, during inspections of business structures during the same period, 450 protocols were registered with total fines of 9.87 million soms, and notifications were sent to 3,795 economic entities regarding the need to comply with environmental standards.

It is worth reminding that in accordance with the Ministry's order dated December 10, 2024, No. 382, raids aimed at protecting atmospheric air are regularly conducted throughout the country. These activities aim to reduce pollution levels and ensure compliance with environmental standards in the territory of the republic.
