The upper area of the Botanic Garden is also planned to be cleared, where laboratories and experimental plots will be located.
This territory covers approximately 80 hectares. Plans include creating laboratories for the study of fruit and berry crops, as well as a special experimental botanical laboratory.
Albanov stated that research is already being conducted in this area, and the conditions in the laboratories for fruit and berry crops have been significantly improved. He added that the section dedicated to fruit and berry crops occupies 70 hectares and will be actively developed in the future.
Work on clearing vegetation is currently underway in the lower part of the botanical garden, in the area from Akhunbaev Street to Sukhe-Bator. After this phase is completed, specialists will move on to the next section, which is located between Sukhe-Bator Street and the Southern Highway. As Albanov noted, the appearance of this area will also be improved.
At the same time, the deputy director emphasized that this part of the botanical garden will not be completely closed to visitors: entrances will be provided and barriers will be installed.
Albanov also noted that in some countries, botanical gardens operate on a paid basis. He stated that if the open area is brought in order and comfortable conditions become available, the introduction of a paid entrance could be considered in the future.
Nevertheless, he clarified that the new facilities being created in the lower part of the botanical garden, such as mini-football fields and playgrounds, will not be commercial.
