Schoolchildren in Bishkek Sent Out a Fake Bomb Threat - It Was Set Up by the State Committee for National Security
On March 31, the students sent voice messages in WhatsApp groups intended for 5th and 7th grades, claiming that a bomb had been planted in the school.
In response to these messages, the school building and the surrounding area were inspected with the involvement of dog handlers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As a result of the inspection, no explosives or dangerous materials were found.
An investigation is currently underway, along with a set of investigative and operational measures.
The SCNS has appealed to parents and educators to strengthen control over children, especially regarding their online activities and communication through messengers.
