Bishkek Women Ask for Criminal Charges Against Three Bloggers
At a press conference on March 26, Gulzamira Zholdoshbaeva shared that she lives with her daughter Meilikan and her five children in Dachi SU. In September 2024, doctors diagnosed Meilikan with stage two cancer, and she requires medical assistance to continue her treatment. The woman noted that the treatment she received was ineffective, and local doctors recommended seeking help from specialists in Uzbekistan.
According to Zholdoshbaeva, she was informed in Uzbekistan that the treatment would cost $18,000 and was asked to provide test results. Meilikan underwent the necessary tests, which unfortunately did not satisfy the Uzbek doctors, and they refused to take her for treatment. As a result, the family decided to turn to Russian medical professionals.
“In December 2025, I sought help from the elder of Dachi SU, who advised me to contact the blogger T.G. from Turkey. We got in touch, and she, introducing herself as the chairperson of a charitable foundation, promised to raise funds through her live broadcasts. She also asked for clothing sizes for my grandchildren and me, promising to send humanitarian aid,” Zholdoshbaeva shared.
Meanwhile, concerned citizens helped Meilikan's family raise $5,400. According to Zholdoshbaeva, T.G. offered to arrange treatment in Turkey, where, she claimed, doctors had already been found. On February 18, 2026, Meilikan went to Turkey.
“T.G. took $2,200 from her, her phone, and forced her to do housework. On the fourth day, Meilikan's cyst ruptured, and her condition worsened. My daughter managed to contact another compatriot, Chynara, who came and took Meilikan. She drove her to Ankara, where doctors reported that if they had delayed even one day, my daughter could have fallen into a coma. Now she is scheduled for two surgeries on March 30. We have contacted the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Sverdlovsk District and the General Prosecutor's Office,” Zholdoshbaeva noted.
Zholdoshbaeva also complained that after making statements about T.G., false information began to spread against them by two other bloggers. In this regard, Meilikan's family insists that the authorities pay attention to their situation and initiate criminal proceedings against the three bloggers.
