The UPSM Denies Rumors of a Child's Death in a Car Accident in Bishkek
False rumors have begun circulating on social media and the WhatsApp messenger regarding the death of a child in Bishkek as a result of a traffic accident. This information has been refuted by the city's traffic police.
According to police data, on March 22, 2026, at the intersection of Frunze and Kakhovskaya streets, a driver named O.Zh.M., born in 1985, hit a minor, K.u.A., born in 2010, while he was crossing the pedestrian crossing.
The child was urgently taken to Children's Hospital No. 3, where he received the necessary medical assistance. The victim was diagnosed with serious injuries, including a closed fracture of the shoulder, and he was hospitalized for further medical observation.
Medical staff reported that the child's condition is stable, he is alive, and his parents are by his side.
The traffic police strongly urged citizens not to trust rumors and to rely on official sources of information, as well as to avoid spreading unverified data.
