A 15-Year-Old Teenager Suspected of a Series of Thefts Detained in Batken
According to information from the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Batken region, a 15-year-old boy living in the Batken district has been detained. During one night, the police received four reports of thefts. In particular, a 71-year-old citizen reported that an intruder entered his house through a window and stole a mobile phone of the model "Redmi 5" and a bicycle.
A 74-year-old resident of Batken also stated that his house was broken into, and about 20,000 soms disappeared from his piggy bank, along with a "Redmi A1" phone.
Additionally, a 27-year-old owner of a "Kia K7" reported that 50,000 soms, a driver's license, a passport, and bank cards were stolen from his car parked near the regional hospital.
A 55-year-old citizen reported that his "Honda CR-V3" car became a victim of vandals near the "Chynar-Bak" mosque — the rear window was smashed, and a "Redmi 10" mobile phone was stolen.
Criminal cases have been initiated on all the mentioned facts under Article 205 of the Criminal Code, concerning theft. As a result of operational activities, the criminal investigation department soon identified the suspect and detained him — it turned out to be a 15-year-old teenager with the initials A.A.
At the moment, the detainee is in the Internal Affairs Directorate of the city of Batken, where investigative actions are ongoing. The police are investigating the reasons that led the teenager to commit these crimes.
