In the Kemin district, law enforcement officers detained a person suspected of fraud.
According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, on December 17, 2025, a woman named B.N., born in 1988, approached the local police station. She reported that on May 27, 2025, her acquaintance persuaded her to take out a loan from the bank for 150,000 soms. After receiving the money, he promised to return it, but subsequently disappeared and did not fulfill his obligations.
Also, on March 7, 2026, a report was filed with the police by E.Z., born in 1998. She stated that on May 25, 2025, a man named J.E. valued her KamAZ truck with a trailer at 750,000 soms. However, he only paid 180,000 soms of that amount and promised to return the remainder later, which he did not do, after which he also disappeared.
Criminal cases have been initiated in both instances under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of operational measures, a citizen J.E., also born in 1988, was detained. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, an investigation is underway to determine the possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing.
