At the meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh dedicated to labor, healthcare, women's affairs, and social issues, deputy Zhyldyz Egemberdieva proposed to close all anti-cinemas. She noted that in such establishments, young people actively engage in the use and distribution of drugs.

Zhyldyz Egemberdieva also emphasized that many students work part-time in anti-cinemas. "After their shifts, they go there and, using movie watching as a cover, consume narcotic and synthetic substances. Is there any control over such establishments? Can they be closed?" she asked the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieva confirmed the existence of the problem. "We have recorded cases of crimes occurring in anti-cinemas. We hold accountable both those who commit crimes and those who create conditions for this. Work is underway to address this issue," he noted, adding that the department is ready to provide complete statistics in written form.
