In January, elderly Kyrgyz citizens most often became victims of fraud and theft.
Of the total number of cases, 38.1% were fraudulent actions, 26.7% were thefts, and 7.6% involved intentional actions related to the transfer or sale to third parties of electronic payment means, virtual assets, and SIM cards. Additionally, 5.7% of the crimes concerned livestock theft.
The highest rates of victims were recorded in Bishkek, where their share was 40%. A significant number of cases also occurred in the Chuy region — 14.3%, and in the Jalal-Abad region and the city of Osh, where each accounted for 10.5%.
