A traffic accident involving a citizen of Kyrgyzstan has been recorded in Karelia.
According to information provided by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the republic, the incident occurred on February 28 at 10:05 AM on the 419th kilometer of the A-119 highway, which passes through the Pudozhsky district and connects Vologda with Medvezhyegorsk to the "Kola" highway.
The driver of the Honda Odyssey, a 28-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan, did not take into account the difficult road and weather conditions, which led to a loss of control over the vehicle. He crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Sitrak truck driven by a 60-year-old driver.
As a result of the accident, a 28-year-old female passenger of the car, also a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was injured. The State Traffic Inspectorate clarified that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
