In the Middle East, tensions are escalating due to the military operation by Israel and the U.S. codenamed "Lion's Roar," aimed at overthrowing the current Iranian government.
Manzura Khodjasteh Bagherzadeh, the wife of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died from injuries sustained in missile attacks on Tehran. She passed away in the hospital where she was receiving treatment.

It should be noted that Ayatollah Khamenei himself was killed on February 28, after which his funeral ceremony took place.

Israel is also conducting offensive actions against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to IRNA, as a result of Israeli attacks in Iran, at least 171 schoolchildren have died.

France has announced plans to increase the number of nuclear warheads in its arsenal.

Explosions occurred near Baghdad Airport, targeting a military base used by the U.S.-led international coalition. This airport had already been subjected to missile attacks in 2020 when protesters attempted to storm the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.

The U.S. has evacuated its embassy in Jordan, with all personnel leaving Amman due to threats, as reported by the diplomatic mission.

Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, a decision confirmed by representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to the advisor to the IRGC commander, Tehran is ready to attack any vessels attempting to pass through the strait.

“We will act against any ship that tries to cross the strait,” he added.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted that the operation was necessary, as Iran could accumulate a significant number of ballistic missiles and drones in the next year and a half, which would pose a threat to the entire world.

“Our goal is to destroy Iran's ballistic capabilities and eliminate the threat posed by their navy to international shipping,” he stated.

The U.S. Central Command reported that the number of American military casualties has risen to six.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized in an interview with state television that Tehran has repeatedly warned countries in the region: if the U.S. starts a war, it will affect not only Iran and the U.S. but the entire Middle East.

“American bases are legitimate targets, as they represent objects belonging to a country that is conducting aggression against us. We do not attack neighbors, but U.S. military bases,” he stated.

Since the start of the U.S. operation, over 1,250 targets in Iran have been attacked, according to Central Command.

Drone strikes have also been carried out on the Ras Tanura oil refinery in Saudi Arabia, one of the largest refineries in the region.

The Iraqi organization "Saraya Awliya al-Dam" conducted a drone attack on a hotel in Erbil where American soldiers were staying, as confirmed by Reuters.

The U.S. State Department has urged citizens to leave more than ten countries in the Middle East due to threats from Iran, which may attack hotels housing American military personnel. The list includes Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Gaza Strip, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, and Yemen.

“The most serious strikes against Iran are still ahead,” said Marco Rubio.

A fire broke out at the U.S. embassy in Riyadh following an explosion.

Powerful explosions were heard in the diplomatic quarter of the Saudi capital, and plumes of smoke were visible, as reported by AFP.
