According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Batken region, as a result of a joint operation by the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and operatives of the Internal Affairs Department of Kyzyl-Kiya, a person suspected of a series of thefts was detained. This individual is listed in operational records as a member of an organized criminal group.
Investigative authorities found that from December 2025 to January 2026, there was an increase in cases of theft of personal belongings at the central market "Tashtemir Azhy" in Kyzyl-Kiya. The suspect acted carefully, stealing money and valuable items from the pockets and bags of shoppers.
During the operational activities, the identity of the detainee was established. He turned out to be a 34-year-old resident of the Osh region, known as Zh.M. The man was arrested in Osh and brought to the investigative authorities for further proceedings.
