In January, 130 children became victims of crimes in Kyrgyzstan
The most common crimes among children were thefts, accounting for 38.6% of the total number of offenses. There were also cases of causing minor bodily harm (13.6%), extortion (11.4%), and robberies (9.1%). In that month, 130 children became victims of crimes. Of these, 20% were victims of theft, 16.9% were affected by sexual acts involving minors under the age of 16, 7.7% were victims of robbery, and 6.2% were affected by hooliganism.
Unfortunately, as a result of these crimes, 7 children died, and 37 sustained bodily injuries. The highest number of crimes against minors was recorded in Bishkek (26.2%), Issyk-Kul region (15.4%), Jalal-Abad region (14.6%), and the city of Osh (12.3%).
