The Shah's heir also urged his compatriots to stay home and later take to the streets for active actions. Additionally, he addressed the President of the United States, urging him to exercise caution to minimize civilian casualties.
According to Pahlavi, the strikes carried out by Israel and Iran are a form of humanitarian intervention aimed at dismantling the repressive apparatus of the Islamic Republic, not against the people themselves. He noted that the ultimate victory must be achieved by the people themselves, who need to return to the streets.
“The Islamic Republic is on the verge of collapse, and I want to convey the following to the Armed Forces, police, and security services: your oath is to protect Iran and its people, not to guard the regime and its leaders. Your primary task is to protect the people, not the regime that oppresses and commits crimes, holding our country hostage. Join the people and help ensure a peaceful transition. Otherwise, you will sink along with Khamenei's broken ship,” he stated.
It is worth noting that Israel has begun missile strikes on Iran, declaring this a "preventive attack." Washington confirmed that the operation is being conducted in conjunction with Israel and is called "Lion's Roar."
Reza Pahlavi is the son of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, who was overthrown during the Islamic Revolution of 1979, organized by Ayatollah Khomeini. After the monarchy was overthrown, Iran became an Islamic Republic. Pahlavi left the country and died in exile in 1980 in Egypt.
