In Yakutia, a native of Kyrgyzstan was sentenced to 14 years in prison for attempted rape of a girl, theft, and carjacking.
The prosecution claims that in October 2025, the man illegally entered an apartment, from which he stole a mobile phone, a jacket with cash, and car keys. During the search, he came across a sleeping girl and attempted to commit violence against her. However, when the girl began to resist and call for help, the perpetrator left the crime scene, stealing the car in the process.
At the trial, the defendant admitted his guilt in the thefts and car theft but categorically denied his involvement in the illegal entry and attempted rape of a minor.
The court found him guilty under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: Art. 139 Part 1 ("Illegal entry into a dwelling"), Art. 30-131 ("Attempted rape of a person under 14 years of age"), Art. 158 ("Theft"), and Art. 166 ("Car theft").
As a result, the man was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, which he will serve in a high-security colony. In addition, he was ordered to pay 1 million 500 thousand rubles as compensation.
